About The Event
POSITIONING is a dynamic process of placing an object or a subject in space and the ending ‘-ing’ assigns to this action the notion of transition.
Considering POSITIONING as a process between movement and stillness, what can dance and camera, with their fluctuating yet clearly situational form, offer to the understanding and awareness of POSITIONING as a socio-political phenomenon? How does the tension between moving and positioning a camera impact visual representation and subjectivity?
